In the middle of 1986, The Institute of Mind Sciences and Classical Yoga came into being in Karachi, founded by Prof. Moiz Hussain.

Since then the Institute has specialized in two fields. Mind Sciences and Classical Yoga. Mind Sciences means any tool or technique that enhances the functioning of the human mind, or that allows an individual to use more than more of their mental capabilities.
